Free Jordana lip gloss

Sometimes life will throw you some hard balls, but sometimes life will throw you a free lipgloss. When that happens, life doesn't seem so bad. Apparently, I entered a contest through seventeen magazine and won the Jordana lip gloss. The colour is so pretty: FYI. It smells really good and it goes on smooth. I love it! Even if I might be too mature for a seventeen magazine, they do have some good contests. And the best part about all of this is...I WON! I hardly ever win!

My latest obsession

Now that summer has finally hit, I would like to share my latest obsession. Bright pastel multi colored nails! Sometimes its hard to decide on just one colour to wear. Especially when you are a colour lover like me... one colour just isn't enough. If you want multi colored nails like mine... Use this one rule: if you want dark green, use other like dark colors... if you want light pink, use light colors. Otherwise, your nails will look like a total mess!
Be creative and wild. Don't normally wear yellows? Try it, just for the sake of the season... I did! Hope you enjoy!

A change... not so sure about this :o(

Ok for the first time in years, I have decided to break free from my usual long hair with blonde or brown color. Which is all I really knew my hair to look like. Then I started to experiment with more highlights and more layers. I gradually kept wanting to change the way my hair was just for the simple fact of me having the opportunity to now that I am in cosmetology school. Well, sometimes change isn't always for the better. To be perfectly honest... I got what I wanted and didn't realize that I wouldn't like it.

First, I cut my hair short... to my shoulders. Don't get me wrong, when it's styled, it is cute... but when it's not... IT'S NOT! lol Then I also decided that blonde wasn't what I wanted to be anymore... considering I have cool undertones in my skin and the blonde just brought out that in my skin... which isn't appealing by the way!
I chose a level 7 mocha brown. Like a golden brown. I wanted the golden brown with just a bit of natural highlights... and I was looking forward to it.

So, as I was trying to find a fellow cosmetology classmate to apply the color for me... I somehow changed my mind to put a level 6 brown red into my hair. Not thinking that having a cool tone face and warm tone hair would not look right... I went ahead and went from light light blonde to a dark brown red.

I kept looking at myself and for some reason I cannot convince myself that I like it. My instructor said that it would fade because I went from so light to so dark... which I understand. I wonder what it will look like then? I don't know... and I really don't want to find out. Here is a picture of my hair now. The lighting is not as good as I wanted but here it is:

Ok I love the color itself. But I do not love the color on me. It just doesn't suit me. I didn't realize HOW red it was going to turn out. My fiance doesn't like it at all... he took one look and came straight out and said, "I don't like it". Which, of course, made me defensive because it's my hair. All in all though... it takes me a night to decide if I love it or not. Now that I know how I feel about it, I want to change it right away.

I have NOTHING against brown reds, trust me, the color is beautiful! I am almost jealous that it doesn't look right on me. But like I said, it's not me.

By the way, I used Matrix SoColor 6BR if you enjoy the color.

A Beautifull Makeover!!!

After several things happening at school while I wasn't there... you know all that bullshit drama that happens in high school... well it happens in beauty school as well. I have been down for a few days thinking about everything and have decided that it's all a waste of my time. It's just someone craving excitement in their lives so they want to bring someone down. It's ok though! Life wouldn't be complete without the haters... so I think I will just do Hair, Nails & Makeup to forget about it!

Basic, yet sassy, makeup tutorial

I've decided that it was time for me to do a very basic makeup tutorial. It is more of a step by step picture tutorial. I will also show a before and after picture to so you can see how big of a difference basic makeup can make :o) I hope you enjoy this post!

First I applied moisturizer, which is VERY important for you skin and it also primes your skin for the makeup application. If you have dry skin and you put foundation on, most likely you will end up with noticeable dry spots and even having a cakey look. Which, is really not attractive lol :o)

Purple in her hair!

Hey Everyone!
Today I trimmed up and my friends hair and put purple streaks in her hair. She already had some in there, but I put a few more in and added a little bit more purple to the faded ones. Then, I blow dried it and styled it.

Suzzette The Makeup Artist :o)

Hey everyone,
Today, school was pretty awesome!!! I did a hairstyle for a competition at school, did my friends makeup and made her feel great (I love that!) and also did a haircut and style.
Yesterday, I actually had my hair colored. I got highlights and lowlights on the top and 3 Neutral on the bottom of my hair. So, the lowlights were 3 neutral as well. I really love my hair, and today, I got several compliments on my hair color! Here's pictures to show you:

Super Cute Rose Rings!!!

Yesterday, I came across a picture on Facebook and fell in love with these rose rings! They are all homemade and one ring is never the same as another. They are so stunning for any kind of look. You can get any color you want, small, medium or large. The prices are very kind as well! The ring band is adjustable as well so there's no fussing with the "wrong" size. I have decided to interview her and her partner to see what started this passion to make homemade rose rings!

No School... Home for the day...

Hey everyone.

We had a long break for the Christmas and New Year holiday from school. Today was the day we were suppose to go back, I didn't go today because I've been having a really bad toothache and I couldn't work on people with the pain.
This would be my VERY FIRST day missing school and I hate that I didn't go, but I know that I wouldn't have been in the condition to work on clients. The last time I had my toothache at school I was literally about to cry my eyes out in front of a client and I know that is not how I want people to see me. Too depressing, they wouldn't want to come back to me... who wants a stylist whose in pain???

I love Cosmetology school... except one thing...

Getting a ride to school...

Trying to get a ride to school is like trying to get your child to eat all her veggies.

E.l.f. Makeup that I got for Christmas... Great products!!

I first heard about E.l.f. cosmetics when I was watching a YouTube video that Kandee Johnson had made and in it, she said something about E.l.f. makeup. By the way, Kandee Johnson is a celebrity makeup artist and she is my inspiration! Anywho, so I decided to check out their website to see what their prices looked like... and OMG, I could not believe how reasonable their prices are!

Cosmetology School!

Hi Everyone!
I just wanted to let everyone know what my new blog is about. Well, here's the story.
I started doing my own nails just to save some money. I got pretty good at it and really started to enjoy doing it. So, I decided that I wanted to go to school for nails. But then, I thought, that doing JUST nails for the rest of my life would have been boring. So, I said, I might as well go to Cosmetology school where I can learn a lot of other things as well... Hair, Nails & Makeup. That brings me to the title of my blog :o)
